The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a sports ministry that has been around for 70 years. It is an absolutely incredible organization with a mission that anyone, no matter their beliefs, can agree with. Their mission is to use the influence that sports and professional athletes possess to have a positive impact on kids.

They are a massive global organization that is using the power of athletics for the good! We had the pleasure of chatting with Jason McCormick, a multi-area director within the FCA, and asked him to share his opinions and experience on using Teamflect!

Key Teamflect Features They Use

  • Tracking day-to-day tasks inside Microsoft Teams
  • Managing goals with custom labels
  • Taking shared and private meeting notes inside Microsoft Teams
  • Seamless Microsoft Teams and Outlook integration

The Right Goal & Task Management Platform for Microsoft 365

Jason McCormick from Fellowship of Christian Athletes

"I literally spent 30, 40 hours just researching the best tools to effectively manage my staff. When I came across Teamflect and I thought: 'Okay, here is a solution!' "

Jason McCormick — Multi-Area Director

With 24 direct reports, Jason knew he needed a platform that could handle both the complexity and scale of his leadership role. The ability to track tasks, assign labels to goals, and sort them for better visibility was exactly what he needed.

Already using Microsoft Teams and Outlook, he found Teamflect’s deep Microsoft 365 integration to be a perfect fit.

"It's pretty brilliant the way Teamflect integrates with Microsoft 365. I didn't have to put in any of my org chart. My organizational chart was already in there, which was beautiful."

Teamflect automatically synced FCA’s organizational chart from Entra ID, saving hours of administrative work. This same approach extends to other integrations, such as pulling meeting data directly from Outlook, ensuring leaders spend more time guiding their teams and less time on setup.

Smooth Implementation Across the Board

"I felt like the implementation was pretty smooth. It's easy to work with. I love going into the system settings and customizing some of the things that we're able to do."

Leading a multigenerational team, Jason personally conducted demos and walked each team member through the onboarding process. The ease of customization and intuitive interface allowed for a quick, disruption-free transition.

The Best Customer Service Experience They Have Seen

"I can honestly say that Teamflect is one of the best that I've ever seen in customer service. Promptness, response, adapting to what the customer needs, just brilliant when it comes to the customer approach. "

When Jason suggested improvements to Teamflect’s tasks module, the product team responded immediately — implementing the requested changes without delay. This responsiveness reinforced FCA’s trust in Teamflect as a partner, not just a vendor.

FCA’s mission to use athletics as a force for good aligns perfectly with Teamflect’s belief in empowering non-profit organizations through thoughtful, user-driven product development. Simply through listening to and acting on user feedback, Teamflect continues to evolve in ways that directly serve leaders like Jason, helping them keep their teams aligned, productive, and inspired.

As FCA’s global operations expand, Teamflect is committed to supporting them with the best performance management experience possible.

Overall, Teamflect I think is brilliant. I think it's very well thought out, and I think it's a gem that people really just don't even know exists. If they knew it was there and saw what it could do, I feel like a lot more people would use it.

How did you discover Teamflect?

I've been here 11 years, and for 11 years our staff would set their goals but never look at them for the remainder of the year. So when it came time to evaluate them, it was difficult to

00:00:48

evaluate because they had no clue what their goals were. So again, just hours and hours of research to find out: what's the best tool to do this? I jumped on Teams, started looking for Teams apps that could do what I wanted, and came across Teamflect. After watching several videos you guys have on YouTube, I thought, okay, here is a solution. Not only does it allow me to track their tasks, but it lets me label them so I can sort. It also

00:01:29

allows me to put their goals in and label the goals, as well as handle the collaboration and communication piece. And it networked with Teams, with Outlook, with Microsoft 365, so it all just kind of fit.

How was the implementation process?

I felt like the implementation was pretty smooth. It's easy to work with, and I love going into the system settings and customizing some of the things that we're able to do. So overall, Teamflect I think is brilliant. I think it's very well thought out, and I think it's a gem that people really just don't even know exists. If they knew it was there and saw what it could do,

00:02:04

I feel like a lot more people would use it.

You're using Teamflect primarily for goals, right? Are you using any of the other features?

Anytime we have a group meeting, a staff meeting, any kind of meeting, we pull up the meeting notes, take notes on topics, shared notes, private notes, all of that. After the meeting we send those notes out to the team and they file them away. We also assign tasks within a meeting, so my administrative assistant is in all of our meetings, typing notes and assigning tasks as we talk, so that tasks can go out.

If you could summarize your entire experience with Teamflect in a couple of sentences, how would you go about it?

If you want to be successful as a business, provide incredible customer service. Because in 2023, customer service is a thing of the past. From insurance, to the mailing system, to our government, you name it, customer service is just gone. People don't care, they don't provide good customer service. But the companies that do have incredible customer service, people recognize them and want to give them their business. And I can honestly say Teamflect is one of the best I've ever seen in customer service: promptness, response, adapting to what the customer needs.

00:03:53

Just brilliant when it comes to the customer approach.

Teamflect, build teams that deliver.
