Free AI SMART Goal Generator

Turn a rough goal into a SMART goal in seconds, or fix one you already wrote. Free to try: you get one sentence to paste, a line on each letter and how to track it.

Turn a rough idea into a goal with the AI SMART goal generator

Choose who the goal is for, write what you want in your own words, and the generator returns a SMART goal in a few seconds.

STEP 1

Who it is for

Myself, someone you manage or your team. The Achievable line follows: what you control, what you provide as their manager, or who owns the number.

STEP 2

Your rough goal

Write it the way you would say it, like "get better at renewals." Add your numbers and why it matters if you like; they are used as written.

STEP 3

Your goal

One sentence to paste into a goal form, a line on each SMART letter and how to track it. No number given? You get [current] and [target].

STEP 4

Check a goal you already wrote

Choose Check my goal and paste it. You see what each letter was missing and get a fixed version that keeps your point.

Two goals are free with no sign-up, and a work email unlocks five more. No card is needed.

What makes a goal SMART

SMART goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound: one outcome, a number to check, a reachable target, a reason and an end. Most written goals fail on the same two letters: no number and no end date.

Specific: one outcome, named plainly. A draft holding two goals keeps the one that carries the most weight.
Measurable: a number someone can check, with a start and an end. "Better" and "more" are not measures.
Achievable: within reach for the role and the timeframe. A number nobody can move alone is flagged.
Relevant: tied to what the person or team is accountable for, or the reason you give.
Time-bound: a clear end, plus a check-in on the way. A twelve-month goal gets one halfway.
Every goal comes back as one sentence that starts with a verb and carries a number and an end date.

From a vague goal to a SMART one: three examples

The same rough idea, before and after. The brackets are yours to fill: the generator does not invent numbers.

Account manager

"Get better at renewals, talk to customers more"

Raise the renewal rate on my accounts from [current] to [target] by the end of the quarter, with a customer call at least 60 days before each renewal.

Support team

"Reply faster, keep customers happier"

Cut average first-response time from [current] to [target] hours by the end of the quarter, with a weekly look at the slowest tickets.

SDR manager

"Book more meetings, be more consistent"

Raise meetings booked per month from [current] to [target] by the end of the quarter, with outreach logged every working day.

Your numbers

No numbers in your rough goal?

Where you give no number, the generator writes [current] and [target]. Fill them in from your own data before you commit to the goal.

These show the kind of goal the generator writes. Your own result depends on what you type.

Write a new SMART goal or check one you already wrote

The form opens with two choices. Write turns a rough idea into a SMART goal; Check my goal reads a goal you already have against the five letters.

Write a goal

For yourself, someone you manage or your team
Your rough goal, in your own words
Your numbers, used exactly as written
One sentence, a line per letter and how to track it

Check my goal

Paste a goal you already wrote
See what each letter was missing
Get a fixed version that keeps your point
