September puts everyone back at their desks. The northern hemisphere waves summer off, Q4 planning starts appearing on calendars, and the release schedule closed out the season at full pace.

The thread this month is initiative. Teamflect Agent stops waiting to be asked, and admins get a firmer grip on the settings that decide who is allowed to change what.

Here is everything new in September.

First, Some Good News From G2 and Capterra

The fall reports from both G2 and Capterra landed this month, and Teamflect came away with badges and awards across a wide spread of categories. Leader status was in there too, a tier that only around 2% of SaaS platforms hold.

None of this arrives through an analyst briefing. It comes from verified reviews written by people who open Teamflect as part of their working day, which puts the credit with our users rather than with us. To everyone who took the time to leave one, thank you.

With that said, here is what the product team built in September.

Teamflect Agent Now Nudges Managers on Who to Recognize

Teamflect Agent recognition skill

Recognition usually breaks down on timing rather than intent. Managers mean to acknowledge good work. Then the week fills up, and by the time there is a quiet moment to write something, the work worth recognizing is a month behind.

Teamflect Agent has picked up a proactive recognition skill to close that gap. It runs automatically on a schedule, reads recent performance and recognition history across a manager's direct reports, and comes back to eligible managers with suggestions on who is due some acknowledgement.

Nothing goes out on the manager's behalf. The suggestion arrives, the agent helps them draft the recognition. For teams where recognition has quietly turned into an annual event, the prompt now shows up where the decision actually gets made.

Agent Settings Now Have Their Own Page in the Admin Center

When Agent first shipped, a small group of toggles inside AI Settings was enough to configure it. That stopped being true several releases ago.

Agent now has a dedicated page in the Admin Center, kept separate from AI Settings. The split makes it clear at a glance which controls govern Teamflect's AI features in general and which ones govern the Agent specifically, so admins aren't reading through settings that have nothing to do with what they came to change.

There is a less visible reason this matters as well. It gives the next round of Agent capabilities somewhere sensible to live.

Further Goal Editing Permissions Controls

Goal editing restriction options

Edit restrictions on goals used to come down to one question: can anyone besides the owner change this? For a personal development goal, that is the right question. For a departmental objective that a dozen people report into, it is too blunt an instrument.

Those restrictions have moved into goal type configuration. Now admins can adjust goal editing settings so editing can stay limited to the goal owner, or it can extend to the goal's manager hierarchy, so the people held accountable for a goal are also able to update it.

Because the setting now sits on the goal type, an organization can keep development goals locked to their owners while leaving team objectives open to the managers above them, with no case-by-case cleanup afterwards.

You Can Now Carry Existing Development Goals Into the Upcoming Review Period

transfering development goals into next review period

Goal setting and performance reviews run into each other by design. A review closes, next period's goals get set in the same conversation, and a fair share of those goals are ones that were already in flight.

Retyping them was the part nobody enjoyed. Creating a goal inside a review now lets you pick from goals that already exist instead of writing the same thing out again.

Development goals are where this lands hardest. A leadership track or a certification rarely wraps up inside a single cycle, and the record of it no longer has to be rebuilt from scratch every time review season comes around.
